WTF Hollywood

Hi everyone,
I'm just making a statement here about one thing who's destroying movies and film for the past decades!
In the 80's we were used to have an original soundtrack for the movies and that was great... Great movies, good ending song...
Recently I just get annoyed by the ending soundtrack.

You're watching a film or a blockbuster, not the kind of movie with John Williams on board, but a nice enjoyable movie... Anyway you had a pleasant movie, enjoyed the contained of it with the big smile at the end of the movie! Yeah, you know what I mean this pretty ending smile you get on your face! Well here come my WTF hollywood... Fuck you to put, at the beginning of the black screen with the white writing, the worst horrible commercial song ever!

OK some will say: "come on this song is on MTV right now!" Well get lost...
Foremost, that's the last idea you get from a film... you're leaving the theater, cinema, or the perfect home-sofa with that bad taste in your mind! It's like having guest for dinner, having a nice and pleasant evening and then to throw them the coffee in the faces! WTF!!!
Then, for the most of the people a movie should not be mark by the time. Of course you have the movie who mark his year, 2012 will be an example, even Ferris Bueller's Day Off... But none of them will change the mood of the movie by putting on a completing wrong song at the end of the film, going on the opposite direction of the spirit of the previous songs, just by commercial point of view!!!

That's a shame, and I will end on that! Hollywood destroys movies like that... Most of them are not the big dollars budget or the Cash Cow of the year but they're good. It's just bad for the image and the life of the film to end with a bad song who make you delete the film from your memory or HardDrive!
Yeah like I will buy a movie with an ending song like that!!!

I finally get to represent an artist and friend. As her pr bitch, we are undergoing some planning for her next vernissage. At one of the best places in Sthlm: Riche.

Where international dj's play under chandeliers and mingle in 19th century settings, and where people of all ages are welcome, only request is that you are... soulful. And fabulous without ever using the word fabulous.

It's a huge oppurtunity for Clara, as she was asked by the people of Riche to hang a selection of her photographs in the restaurant, for all of december. We will unleash her talent the 7th of dec, and have invited all our friends, journalists, and art people to participate.. if you would be, by any chance in Stockholm - come hither.

.Cent Magazine

Cent is a magazine based in London and its here to celebrate creativity. It is that simple.
The process, the people, the products.

Photobucket

They like being different so at .Cent we ask the creatives themselves to write the content instead of working with journalists. This way, readers hear all about fashion, beauty, art, music, design, illustration, architecture, literature, film, gardening, food, and more. The editorial content comes from the creatives, about what inspires and excites them, in an emotive language directly to the reader.

Every issue they choose a different Guest Editor from the creative industries to take the helm. They choose a title that is a reflection of them and their work. This becomes the cornerstone for the issue. .Cent also invites friends of the Guest Editor to contribute and ask the Guest Editor to suggest other creatives whom they don't know but are inspired by, to add to the mix.

Photobucket

Photobucket

.Cent's aim is to provide an open platform for creative discussion. The editorial is intelligent yet accessible and is directly from the worlds most influential creative figures, everyone from the established to the up-and-coming.

.Cent is a platform for us all. Be inspired, get involved.

Sweetness

Dragonette @ Santos Party House, NYC

One word... AMAZING.

This Canadian electropop group is the next big thing... With only three albums out, they already have a vast number of fans following their every move.

We were so excited about this concert that we got there so early (is spite of having bought the tickets with one month in advance) that the place wasn't even open yet.. so we waited, we smoked cigarettes, our faces froze thanks to the chilly wind, but we made it in and grabbed some beers to warm up a little bit.
Due to our fanaticism, we got to be first row during Dragonette's performance, bitting the music that came out of the 6' tall speakers.
If they happen to stop at the city you reside, be sure to be there to see them perform.. it is something you will NEVER regret!!

Here are some of their videos and a few pictures that Bandana took with his iPhone :)

Mise en scène: Sweet Misery

On a Sunday afternoon, 4 film students from the New York Film Academy united at 88 Greenwich to film Sweet Misery.
Between jokes, pizza, computers, wine, and some other stuff is where the magic occurred. Little do I need to say, the result was extraordinary, NATAS quality of course.

The actress, former Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza did a wonderful job in spite of being her first week at acting school!
We all had a great time; everyone worked really hard and professionally and the energy was great and very positive! The team worked successfully, obtaining a great result at the end.

Eduardo Alcivar AKA Bandana did a fantastic job directing all his people at the set! He even got 3 large pizzas and beverages for everyone! :)

Logan Hodson's role as the Director of Photography was crucial and extremely accurate to assure good quality in the production.

Evan Quinn, the gaffer, helped around improvising a slidable platform (made out of my favorite blanket) for the camera and positioning the lights in the right way!

Natalia Lopez worked as the Camera Assistant and was a dear of a girl and so nice to be around, showing the Natas team some nice and funky music from Spain, her homeland and also helping with the construction of the slidable platform.

Gabriel Alcivar, also known as WACHO was a great caterer making sure everyone's glass was filled with exquisite white wine and taking charge of the camera for some behind the scenes footage!

And I was in charge of the beauty, of course!!

Here are some backstage pictures for all of you to enjoy!!

The bears are coming...

Photobucket

"Snap away," she said as she danced towards the moonlight,
Run away he did as she cast off another night.
So in tune were we by the thought of what could never be,
So consumed were we by the fear that swelled between the sheets. What do they mean?
Seamless dirty dreams.
Why must you scream?
Please dont make a scene.
She plays, she plays,
Is it all a game?
Longing to be tamed,
Sugar must be acid rain.I saw you wading in the water,
I saw you ride along the sea.
Shine on your nightmare,
Shine through the tears.

Halloween - a Nordic short story.

I was calmly watching 'The Reader' last night. Wiping my drenched face from sadness - (seriously..what is evil when you rearrange order like that)(and throw in a young naked 15 year old fellow with a 43 year old woman) (with really large nipples)and hugging myself.

When the door knocked. Not a solid knock. More like a 'kno...' (half a knock) I was all alone and that half a knock freaked me out and I completely forgot about the Germans on the plasma, reading in the nude.

I approach my door. I listen for breathing on the other side. 'Is there anyone there?' Nothing. It knocks again, this time loud an clear and - twice. My voice sharpens, louder I go, 'WHO'S THERE?'Then I yell, 'HEEE-LLOOO,' the silence is scaring me to the extent, that I reach for a swear-word and go, 'WHO THE FUCK IS IT??'
A woman's voice suddenly finds it's way through the keyhole, 'there are a few kids here, trick or treating'.

I was so ashamed.

I quickly open the door. And they were adorable, five young dwarfs in grey wigs, tall black hats, and skeleton patterned suits... It feels horrible to forget it's Halloween. But it happens up north, where I live. In Scandinavia. We're just not that into festivities during winter that doesn't automatically call for a shot of vodka and a song.

But, globalization hit us too. Apparently - yay.

I got a drawing with a ghost on it called Boohoo. But it doesn't take away that I said the F-word to children trick or treating. I hope they forgot about it after I showered them in candy and baked goods. And I hope that the woman's/mother's angry eyes will stop haunting me.
